HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN SPLANGLY FRESH BOW TIE
You can find the pattern I’ve been using here.
Both pre-tied and traditional bow ties are just as awesome as the other and serve different purposes. I wear a lot of girl’s shirts, so I prefer the pre-tied bows without neck straps, as the neck line is a little lower. (They’re also faster to make, mostly cos I struggle when it comes to button holes). There’s a really good tutorial on how to tie the traditional tie-your-own-bows here.
You can use any fabric you wish. The ones in the photo are made from quilting cotton. Cotton’s the easiest material to work with and usually comes in lots of different prints. Satin and slippery fabrics don’t hold the cute little bow shape as well and the stitching tends to pull but that’s up to you if you want to try it.
I’m making a black and white gingham one next!

THIS IS SO AMAZING I LOVE YOU! Thank you so much, really :)!!!
