Happy Valentine’s Day on a Budget
Give a Jar of Love: Valentine’s Day cards are awesome and so many of us love giving and receiving them but there’s a way to take it one step further. Fill a jar of your choice with small notes of love. Make it fun, think back to the first meeting, what were you feeling in that moment. Was there something you always meant to say but didn’t or felt you couldn’t? Well here’s your chance!
Take a Ride down Memory Lane: Play that cd that you both love. Pull out all the cards, letters, pictures, ticket stubs and recall that moment. Make new memories here. There are lots of new image apps that will allow you to upload photos and make little videos of memories. One such app, Flipagram takes us back to the old school view finder. Be silly and enjoy together.
Make Dinner Together: Contrary to what some may think, cooking dinner at home for Valentine’s Day can be extremely romantic. There’s the art of cooking to get you in the mood. Pour a lovely glass of your favorite grapes or fruit infused water or bubbles, put on some music you both love, tie on those aprons and get to cooking. Feed one another throughout the prep time and share the clean up…if you make it that far :)!
Road Trippin!: If your lives are such that celebrating on Valentines Day doesn’t work out think about taking a quick road trip and visit some local city scenery or consider a hike. Google search some local get-away options. Most if not all states have hidden gems tucked away in those small cities and towns we never venture to. Exploring together can be inexpensive, fun and full of memories just waiting to be created.
